Course Cancellation
& Refund Policy
PURPOSE
At InnaCare, we understand that unexpected situations can arise. This policy outlines the cancellation, transfer, and refund conditions for all public, private, workplace, and mobile training courses delivered by InnaCare.
Our goal is to provide fair, transparent, and flexible arrangements while ensuring course resources, trainers, venues, and administrative costs are appropriately managed.
1. COURSE BOOKINGS
A booking is confirmed once:

Payment is received; or
-
An invoice arrangement has been approved by InnaCare.
Participants are responsible for:

Providing accurate booking details
-
Completing any required pre-course learning
-
Attending the course at the scheduled time and location
2. PARTICIPANT CANCELLATIONS
More Than 7 Days Before Course
Participants who cancel more than 7 days before the scheduled course date may choose:
-
A full refund; OR
-
Transfer to another available course date at no additional cost
3–7 Days Before Course
Participants cancelling between 3 and 7 days before the course may receive:
-
A 50% refund; OR
-
One course transfer to another available date
Additional transfers may incur an administration fee.
Less Than 48 Hours Before Course
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the course are generally:

Non-refundable
However, InnaCare may offer a transfer (may incur a 50% rescheduling fee) at its discretion in compassionate or exceptional circumstances, including:
-
Illness
-
Family emergency
-
Workplace emergency
Supporting documentation may be requested.
3. NON-ATTENDANCE (“NO SHOWS”)
Participants who:
-
Do not attend the course; or
-
Arrive excessively late and cannot complete assessment requirements
will be considered a “No Show.”
No refund will apply.
A new booking fee may be required to rebook.
4. COURSE TRANSFERS
Participants may request a transfer to another course date.
Conditions:

One complimentary transfer may be offered where reasonable notice is provided

Transfers are subject to course availability
-
Requests must be made in writing via email

5. PRIVATE GROUP & WORKPLACE BOOKINGS
For onsite workplace or private group bookings:

Full refund or reschedule available
7–14 Days Notice

50% cancellation fee may apply
Less Than 7 Days Notice

Full course fee may apply due to trainer allocation, venue preparation, and resource costs
6. INNACARE COURSE CANCELLATIONS
InnaCare reserves the right to:

Reschedule courses
-
Change trainers or venues
-
Cancel courses due to insufficient numbers, trainer illness, emergencies, or unforeseen operational issues
If InnaCare cancels a course, participants will be offered:
-
A full refund; OR
-
Transfer to another course date
InnaCare is not responsible for:
-
Travel costs
-
Accommodation expenses
-
Loss of income
-
Other indirect costs incurred by participants
7. ONLINE LEARNING REQUIREMENTS
Some nationally recognised courses require online pre-course learning.
Participants who:
-
Do not complete mandatory online learning before attendance
may be unable to participate in the practical session. & certification will be delayed until successful completion of online learning.
Refunds may not apply where online learning has already been accessed or partially completed.
8. ASSESSMENT & CERTIFICATION
Refunds are not provided where a participant:
-
Is deemed Not Yet Competent
-
Fails to complete assessment requirements
-
Cannot provide required identification or evidence
-
Cannot perform mandatory practical tasks required by the training package
9. EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES
InnaCare understands that life circumstances can change suddenly.
Compassionate consideration may be provided for:

Medical emergencies
-
Hospitalisation
-
Family crisis
-
Mental health circumstances
-
Workplace emergencies
Each request will be assessed individually.
10. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
This policy operates in accordance with:

Australian Consumer Law
-
Victorian consumer protection requirements
Nothing in this policy removes rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
